About Us

Originally, the Linamon Water System was operated and managed since 1963 by the LGU of Linamon but sometimes in 1992 the Linamon Water district was formed and turned-over the system to the WD in 1993.

The Linamon Water district get its supply of water from 2 spring sources, namely: Taytay Spring located in sitio Taytay, Brgy. Ditucalan, Iligan City which has a discharge of 12 lbs (during FS preparation) but now the yield is lps with elevation at 50 meters above sea level.

Spring 2 (Bosque Spring) is located in Purok 1, Brgy. Bosque, Linamon which has a discharge of lps. Elevation of the spring is 30 meters above sea level. However, during heavy rains, the spring becomes turbid.

A collection box was constructed by the LGU and another collection boxconstructed during the the time it was turned-over to the WD for Taytay Spring while another collection box was constructed at Bosque Spring by the Linamon WD.

There are two (2) reservioirs; (1) a concrete ground cylindrical tank with capacity of 701 cum and 130 cum capacity. The cylindrical tank funded by the LGU. The length of the transmission line from Taytay spring to concrete ground reservoir is 3.3 km. w3ith 6-8 inches diameter pipes. From Bosque spring, by-pass pipe has been installed (2 inches diameter pipe) connecting the main line.
